Superintendent’s Revenge Course Guide

Taking Place on The Lakes Course (Holes 19-36)

Hole No. 1

— Actual Location: Holes 19 and 20

This hole is a par 7 and starts on the tee box of hole #19 and ends by putting out on the green of #20. Measuring over 1,000 yards you will defintely get to knock it around a few times on this one.You can get there any way that you want just make sure that groups are clear of #20 tee box when hitting your second shot. It will be a little blind going that way and we want to make sure that everyone is safe. We bumped the tee box back on this one to behind the creek. Ladies will tee off from their normal tee box on #19

Hole No. 2

— Actual Location: Hole 21

This hole is an uphill battle. Men will tee off from the blues in the back of the tee box which are placed on the upslope. Men’s yardage is 164 yards to the pin. Women will tee off on the side slope more towards the front of the box. Women’s yardage is 134 yards. This is some of the most drastic elevation change here at Mallard Creek, so we had to use it.

Hole No. 3

— Actual Location: Hole 22

This par 4 will measure 326 yards. Tee markers will be tucked on the back left of the box so a large sweeping draw (for right-handers) will come in handy off of this box. This hole is our angled cup hole.

Placement of your approach shot is vital to ensure 1 or 2 putts. Any shots hit past this cup will set up for some tough putts. So strategize wisely.

Hole No. 4

— Actual Location: Hole 23

We all know that this par 5 is hard enough as it is so we won’t make this one too crazy. One thing you will have to make sure of is that you hit something off of this tee box with a large cut, fade, or slice. This hole has a crowned cup so make sure you hit it firm.

Hole No. 5

— Actual Location: Hole 24

This is the Super Mario Hole. We call it that because there is a “warp zone” about 100 yards out. This warp zone is a circular hose that gets you a pretty big payout if you can get inside that circle. If you all miss the warp zone then you will play your best ball into the green as normal. If you get it inside the warp zone then you will get automatically warped onto the green for a 45-foot putt and a shot at eagle on a par 4. That 45-foot putt is marked by a white dot and stake on the left-hand side of the green.

Note: Ladies, if you want a shot at the warp zone please tee off from the blues tees with everyone else. If a lady player decides to hit driver then she may play from the normal red tees and hit it down the fairway.

Hole No. 6

— Actual Location: Hole 25

This hole was too easy so we set you up with a 168-yard shot which is near the back of #24 green. We created a makeshift tee box here for both the blue tees and the red/gold tees. The Ladies have about 155 yards shot into the green. We were nice enough to frame the pin right between the uprights of the two trees there. Don’t hit it short here as it’s all wasteland and water in front of you.

Hole No. 7

— Actual Location: Hole 26

This is where you can pick up some bonus strokes with our putt putt down the bridge hole. Here’s the deal. Everyone will putt from the indicated tee area on the bridge. If you can successfully putt your ball down the length of the bridge and onto the other side then you will receive one free stroke from your total score on this hole. So if all 4 players make it to the other side then you will start the hole teeing off with -4 strokes. If only two players make it then you start off at -2. Trust us…this is very doable. We made about 50% of the putts that we hit down the bridge during testing. Our advice….hit it hard and straight. Hopefully, the bounces will go your way.

After everyone has putted down the bridge you will then hit from the tees on the other side of the water as normal. This hole will be playing just 229 yards and is a major scoring opportunity. The ladies will be playing from 219 yards.

Note: You will not be using the normal tee boxes for this hole. Please proceed straight to the range mat located on the bridge to start this hole.

Hole No. 8

— Actual Location: Hole 27

This one is called through the barn door. We have some bails of hay set up in front of the tee markers that you must hit through the gap or over. This is definitely a very mental shot. The ball doesn’t bounce off of the hay too much so you’ll be safe…. Hit away! This green also has quite the slope to contend with. You could say that we tucked it up in the front just a little bit. Pro tip: be below the hole on your approach.

Hole No. 9

— Actual Location: Tee markers near cart paths in the back of 27 green playing the eastern putting green large flag.

This is the over/under hole. On this short par 3 you have the option of going over the trees or pitching under them. This back pin placement all funnels towards the water so be careful on your approach and on your putts.

Hole No. 10

— Actual Location: Hole 28

Immovable Obstacles: Our maintenance guys seemed to have left the job in a rush and left some of their equipment behind. They don’t want anyone touching it so you have to make sure that everything is left in place. Between the rakes and shovels, hopefully, your group can find your way to the hole. In case your ball comes to rest against any of the equipment you get one putter head relief from that obstacle (just like putt putt).

Hole No. 11

— Actual Location: Hole 29

This is our “Island Green” hole. We are treating this green like an island. Our tee boxes have been moved up to entice you to go for it on your 1st shot. This par 4 measures just 250 yards from the blues and 230 yards from the red tees. However, there is a catch….If your ball comes to rest anywhere behind the green or inside the ropes then that will be considered a hazard and you will not be able to play from that spot. The layup shot before the fake water is about 180 yards or shorter. Anything before the designated “water” is considered safe. There is a designated drop zone in case all 4 golfers end up going in the “drink.”

If you are able to get your ball on the green/fringe then congratulations… you are putting for eagle. It all depends on where your ball lands and not how it gets there. If you run it up onto the green/fringe then you are all good. If it ends up on anything that is considered rough or fairway then you’re wet and unable to play that ball.

Hole No. 12

— Actual Location: Hole 30

It’s a par 3 measuring 194 from the back tees. There is a hose on the green that will funnel towards the hole. Chips and putts that make it inside the hose (shaped like a V) will have a good opportunity to go in. Shots outside the hose will have to be smartly placed as to avoid any extra strokes. You are not allowed to chip on the actual green. This is where strategy might come in handy for your group. Taking a shot from off the green might be better off if there is a ball on the green outside of the hose funnel.

Hole No. 13

— Actual Location: Hole 31

The challenge presented on this hole is teeing off with a Junior Driver. Once you’re off of the tee box you can use whatever clubs that you want. Tee it high and let it fly!

Hole No. 14

— Actual Location: Holes 32 and 33

We have another par 7 here. This one measures over 850 yards. We will tee off on the box of #32 and play into #33 green. One thing we will make illegal is playing down #31. This way we can keep everyone safe. You are more than welcome to cut over the water anywhere that you would like but keep the play going down the left-hand side of the course on this one. There is NO cutting across to #31 tee box

Hole No. 15

— Actual Location: Hole 34

Putting is tough: This is an easy par 3 at first look. The key to this hole is making the putt in the tiny hole that we have cut. This cup is only 3 inches so you have to be a bit more accurate on your putts. The normal cup size is 4.25 inches. The hole is marked by a tiny white flag on the left hand side of the green. It’s all about pace and placement. Hit it in the heart!

Hole No. 16

— Actual Location: Hole 35

The Switch Hitter: Generally this hole sets up pretty easy as a 280-yard par 4 but we have thrown a twist on things to present a challenge off of the tee box. All right-handed golfers will tee off with a lefty driver/club. All lefties will tee off with a right-handed driver/club. This will be the most unathletic you feel all day. It’s like starting golf all over again. Once you’re off of the tee box you can resume play as normal. If all 4 of your group go into the water then you will take your penalty and hit your third shot from the drop zone in front of the water that is marked by the white tees and mowed down area.

Note: There is a lefty set of clubs on the box. Please make sure to leave all clubs for the next group behind you.

Hole No. 17

— Actual Location: Hole 36

Fresh Out the Oven: This hole requires all golfers to tee off with the oven mitts of their choice.

(Please maker sure to leave the oven mitts on the tee box for the next groups of golfers to follow)

Hole No. 18

— Actual Location: Putting green by back of the clubhouse (western side)

Putt Putt Hole : This hole takes place on the western putting green. The hole is guarded by flag sticks laying down on the ground. There is a wide entry area to get into that putt putt hole. The flag sticks and entry area become more narrow the closer that you get to the hole. This hole plays as a par 5.

Note: If you are putting from inside the sticks and your balls goes over the top and lands outside of the sticks that is considered out of play. Make sure to always keep one ball in play. If you do not then you will have to go back to the original tee off spot and start again. If you have any questions just stop into the clubhouse and we’ll explain this hole to you.
